Phil Stephenson has dedicated his entire professional life to criminal defense. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 2012 before enrolling at South Texas College of Law in Houston to pursue his legal education. During law school, Phil distinguished himself as an officer in the prestigious Board of Advocates Program, organizing and competing in Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions nationwide.
From the start, Phil knew his passion was criminal law and trial work. In addition to excelling as a mock trial advocate, he has gained valuable experience as a criminal defense attorney over the last 10 years. Phil has since handled a wide range of state and federal prosecutions.
His experience has taught him the importance of maintaining strong relationships with the District Attorney’s Office while also being prepared to take an aggressive stance when necessary. He is well-versed in the Texas Rules of Evidence and is ready to offer immediate assistance to new clients.
A lifelong Houstonian, Phil grew up in Alief, TX. He attended Elsik High School before moving to the Cypress are and graduating from Jersey Village High School in 2008. Philip worked hard to earn the award of Eagle Scout, the highest award in the Boy Scouts of America, at only 15 years old. Phil lives and resides in Houston Texas with his wife and two children.
Phil is licensed to practice law in State Court’s throughout Texas, as well as Federal Court in the Southern District of Texas.
